A passion that has turned into a profession

Board game designer and trainer. I made my first board game at the age of 12.

Alongside my passion, I worked for 15 years as a computer graphics designer and then as an IT trainer in the field of vocational integration.

It was during a train journey between Lausanne and Bern that I had the idea to create a game celebrating the history of the Swiss railways.

MY STORY

A vocation is never an accident. Since I was very young, I've been playing and creating board games in my spare time for the enjoyment of my family. I started in 1985 with a medieval role-playing game inspired by "books where you are the hero".

I used to organise family games around prototypes that weren't always 'perfected', but which generated a lot of enthusiasm. For example, "Donjon-Dragueur", a card game I created during a rather boring summer, or a zombie fighting card game. When I first started, I made games spontaneously, without thinking too much about them. Today, I try to create games that give you the pleasure of learning while having fun.

The profession of board game designer is now more widely recognised. But like all creative professions, it's not easy to make a living from it. That's why I pursue my passion alongside other professional activities..
